My family and I had the pleasure of ringing in the New Year here, and it was spectacular.

We began our adventure by arriving at a spacious apartment just steps from the central plaza. The two-bedroom apartment perfectly suited our needs, offering ample wardrobes, drawers, and two bathrooms, one with a luxurious bath and bidet, and the other an en suite. The balcony overlooked a communal pool surrounded by palm trees, providing stunning views that set the tone for relaxation.
The apartment was fully equipped with modern amenities, including a cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, ironing board, and microwave. A thoughtful welcome package awaited us, featuring a bottle of wine, fresh milk, and cartons of apple and orange juice. This warm gesture made us feel right at home.
The modern design of the apartment and its convenient location made it an excellent base for exploring Villamartin Plaza and its surroundings. Immersing ourselves in the local culture and enjoying the plaza’s welcoming atmosphere was effortless.
Exploring Villamartin Plaza: A Vibrant Commercial Center
Villamartin Plaza is a lively commercial centre brimming with charm and activity. The central courtyard, adorned with palm trees, Spanish style lamps, and ceramic tiles, embodies Mediterranean living. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by a variety of bars, restaurants, and shops catering to every taste.
We enjoyed an incredible meal at The Dining Room, an Indian restaurant serving the best curry I’ve ever had. The rich, authentic flavours were a highlight of our trip. Another memorable meal was at Di Vinci’s, an Italian eatery with mouth-watering pizzas and pastas. With options ranging from fine dining to fast food, there’s something for everyone.
The plaza’s bars add to its appeal. Whether you prefer a sophisticated wine bar or a casual spot to watch live sports, the options are endless. Performances by international stars like Tony Christie and Leo Sayer often grace the plaza, adding a unique charm.
A Night to Remember: New Year’s Eve Celebrations
New Year’s Eve at Villamartin Plaza was magical. As the clock struck midnight, the plaza came alive with a stunning fireworks display. The fireworks illuminated the iron balconies and surrounding homes, creating an enchanting scene. Lasting 20 minutes, the display was a breathtaking way to welcome the New Year.
The festive atmosphere was amplified by live music and nightly entertainment. Although we missed performances by stars like Rob Falsini, the music that evening was spectacular and enhanced the celebratory mood.
The plaza buzzed with food, drinks, and laughter, creating a sense of friendship among visitors and locals. It was the perfect time to be at Villamartin Plaza, making unforgettable memories.
Family-Friendly Fun
Traveling with kids can be challenging, but Villamartin Plaza made it easy. Our children loved exploring the vibrant plaza and nearby attractions. Greenlands Blue Lagoon, a 15-minute walk away, offered picturesque views and outdoor fun. For a livelier experience, La Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping mall in the Comunidad Valenciana, was just a short taxi ride or walk away. Its diverse shops and water features kept the entire family entertained.
The plaza itself caters to families with activities for kids. From playing pool at local bars to enjoying ice cream in the courtyard, there’s no shortage of options. The welcoming atmosphere ensured everyone felt included and had a great time.

Villamartin Plaza’s location and amenities make it ideal for both short stays and extended holidays. A supermarket beneath the plaza is stocked with essentials, while nearby estate agents, car hire services, and a taxi rank provide easy access to the area.
